What Sucks…New Yorker Magazine

Hey snobs, you’re not helping. Unfunny covers? What, are you branching out? Stick to the unfunny cartoons! (Say that out loud, then turn to the guy in the cubicle next to you and Hi-5 them- you, my friend, are the king of the world!)

Oh, I’m wrong? The cartoons are funny? Then what the fuck is this (below)?

I'm commenting because, forever ago, when I saw that cartoon, it busted me the hell up. Well, okay, also because nobody posted a comment and that makes me sad. Or anxious, like thinking I might be the first to run through the yard after a heavy snow. Anyway, yeah, it's funny, absurdist-lite PLUS a dose of "heh, yeah, dem EYEtalians." If you've ever spent time "wit guys from ITly," Mr. Deluc..um, anyway, it's ah, sort of good natured, ethnic, uh. Humor. Observational. The Obama cover? Ironic. Maybe The New Yorker is a bit smug, but didn't they address that on the very first cover? Dey's good guys, Mister Deluke.

This Obama cover inspires me to ask The New Yorker to do next month's cover depicting a Catholic priest screwing a young innocent alter boy in the ass while the Bishop make fun of the alter boy parents. The title of the cover is "Pope says certain behavior of the Church is incompatible with teaching."

Love the cover about Obama. Conveys everything I'm feeling about the communist.

How can Obama be a communist if he BAILED THE FUCKING BANKS OUT! The banks, the least communist institution there is, the heart of everything that is capitalist in our country, and he kept them from disappearing. But, no, you're right, he's a communist because, well...just because! Fox News said so! They're always fair and unbiased!

I disagree, The comics are mostly funny. The rest is rubbish!
