Much has been said about Canada and all but, a leaf? Come on!
Jeez, I mean really- this is what you carry into battle? How intimidating...a LEAF! Whoa, I'm so scared! What was going on here- "Hey, our police wear these silly red Mountie uniforms, why not just put a leaf on our flag? Cool? Okay, let's go listen to Rush."
Hard to believe 1/2 the country is dominated by the French.

You know what else sucks? Countries with national anthems based around [i]war[/i]. Who cares if our flag isn't intimidating, having a national identity based around terror isn't an ideal I would exactly look up to. And in any case, our flag seems to do a pretty good job of keeping us from getting shot/abducted in situations where we would otherwise be mistaken as Americans.

I agree, the flag really sucks. The anthem is terrible too. Canada should revert back to it's real flag, the Red Ensign. You can blame the Liberal Party for all this as they attempted and still do, to wipe out everything of tradition and history in Canada. They're treasonous in fact. Let's hope they remain out of office, they've done enough damage over the years.
You know what the flag could use, a nice hammer and sickle combo :),
